RIP Atatiana Jefferson

So, I won’t lie, son. On the real, when innocent Black people are killed by the police, I swing between two different emotions: rage and numbness. Shit, depending on the day, I’m either a raging maniac or scarily numb. All I can say is, I’m in the rage stage right now. The fact is, there are NO circumstances that can justify the death of Atatiana Jefferson. Frankly, I’m having a hard time articulating myself, man.

Ok, for those who are unaware, this past weekend, Jefferson was murdered by Fort Worth officer Aaron Dean in her own home. Now, according to the story, around 2:30 AM on Saturday, Jefferson was babysitting her nephew. Apparently, her neighbor noticed that her front door was slightly open. Anyway, being a concerned neighbor, this individual called the police and asked them to do a wellness check. From there, within a second or two of arriving on the scene, Dean shot Jefferson through the window, in front of her nephew. Please note, he was lurking outside of her house and never identified himself as an officer.

Now, before I continue, let me address those “she had a gun in the house” people. Yes, motherfucker, if a person I don’t know is outside of my window at 2:30 in the morning, I have every right to arm myself. The truth is, Dean didn’t follow any protocol, didn’t properly assess the situation and shot an innocent woman in her own fucking house. On the real, I don’t want to hear any of that “he feared for his life” shit. This dickhead was there for a cotdamn wellness check, fam. What part of the game is shooting a woman through the fucking window, bruh? Honestly, I’m mad as FUCK right now, son.

In the end, I have nothing else to say, man. Ultimately, I just want to say Rest In Peace to Atatiana Jefferson. By and by, she died in the most senseless way, fam. In addition, I feel terrible about the fact that her nephew was there to witness that, bruh. At the end of the day, fuck Aaron Dean and I hope the courts give him exactly what he deserves. That is all. LC out.

It Feels So Good To Be Wrong About Amber Guyger

So, I won’t lie, son. On the real, I’m not the type of guy who’s afraid to admit when he’s wrong, man. Shit, if anyone read yesterday’s post, I firmly believed that Amber Guyger was going to get away with murdering Botham Jean. As of right now, I was happily mistaken, fam. All in all, this is one of those moments where it feels good as hell to be wrong, bruh.

Ok, for those who missed it, a Dallas jury convicted Guyger of murder. For once, someone was actually held accountable for killing an innocent Black man. In any case, due to this conviction, Guyger faces a maximum of life in prison. The problem is, the jury could also give her a minimum of five years.

Look, from the beginning, that’s all we’ve ever asked, son. Frankly, we just want our murderers to face justice, man. We just want our killers to deal with the consequences of taking our lives. With that being said, it appears that Guyger will have to face the music, fam. All I know is, this is how the justice system is SUPPOSED to work, bruh.

In the end, I have nothing else to say, son. Ultimately, I just hope that they jury doesn’t give this woman a light sentence. By and by, she should have to do some real fucking time for killing a man in his own apartment. At the end of the day, there’s no way to victim blame here. Jean was in the safety of his own home, minding his own cotdamn business. For someone who “thought” that Jean was the intruder, Guyger was the real one trespassing, man. All I can say is, she deserves ALL of the prison time, fam. So, don’t fuck this up, Texas. That is all. LC out.

Amber Guyger Will Probably Go Free

So, before I even begin this post, let me be transparent, son. Real talk, I’m a 34-year-old Black man who doesn’t have a lot of faith in the justice system. I mean, at this point, I’ve lived long enough to see countless examples of the courts failing people of color. With that being said, it looks like history might repeat itself, man. The way I see it, Amber Guyger will probably skate for the murder of Botham Jean.

Ok, for those with shaky memory, Jean was killed by Guyger on September 6, 2018. Now, as the story goes, Guyger, a former Dallas police officer, shot and killed Jean in his own apartment. According to her, since she lived in the apartment below Jean, she thought he was an intruder. In any case, while Jean ate some vanilla ice cream in his own living room, minding his own fucking business, Guyger murdered him.

Now, I’ve always had a problem with Guyger’s story, fam. I mean, either she’s incredibly stupid or just a cold-blooded killer, bruh. Look, for the sake of argument, let’s say she really didn’t realize this wasn’t her apartment. In that case, she was too fucking dumb to notice several clues, son. First, Jean’s red doormat. Second, the apartment number. Third, the fact that her key didn’t fucking work. Frankly, she could’ve realized at any time that this wasn’t her cotdamn place. Instead, she barged into Jean’s place of residence and ended his life.

With all of that being said, the judge may have given Guyger an out, man. Apparently, the judge ruled that Guyger can use the “castle doctrine” defense. Now, this law essentially states that since a home is a person’s castle, they have a right to defend it. Meaning, since she claims that she thought she was in her own apartment, her team can argue for self-defense. All I know is, I have MASSIVE problems with this, fam!

Look, are folks really telling me that this woman can use a “castle” defense for a place that wasn’t even her fucking castle? Like, she can literally take a man’s life in the comfort of his own home and she might be protected? *Sigh* I’m having a hard time keeping my anger at bay, bruh. All I can say is, police are almost never, ever, EVER held accountable for killing us. Even when they’re CLEARLY in the fucking wrong, son.

In the end, I’m probably being a pessimist, man. Ultimately, I can’t definitively say that Guyger is going to walk. However, based on this country’s track record, I’m not putting my faith in the ruling, fam. By and by, it will probably be another instance of a cop getting away with murder. At the end of the day, people of color aren’t safe anywhere, bruh. Not even in our own fucking home. That is all. LC out.

Two… TWO Mass Shootings In 24 Hours

So, here we are, son. Another day, another mass shooting. Wait, no, excuse me, man. I mean, another day and TWO MORE mass shootings, fam. Like, I’m at a legitimate loss for words, bruh. Seriously, I just wrote about the Gilroy Garlic Festival shooting last Monday, people. How the fuck am I writing about a second AND third shooting in a week’s time? For God‘s sake, something needs to be done NOW!

Ok, let’s start with El Paso, Texas, son. So, Patrick Crusius, a 21-year-old from Allen, Texas, drove over 600 miles to El Paso. Now, as seen in his “manifesto,” he went there for the sole purpose of shooting Hispanic people. This fruit loop believes the country is being overrun by immigrants and his solution was to shoot as many Latino people as he could find. All in all, Crusius killed 20 people and injured another 26.

Now, here’s the part of the article that’s going to make Donald Trump supporters mad. Yes, y’alls President has culpability in this situation. Shit, for the last four years, he’s made it his life’s mission to vilify the Hispanic community. Hell, building the Border Wall was THE major policy point of his campaign, man. Fam, as of right now, there are still countless Hispanic families being held in glorified internment camps, bruh. So, he can’t stoke the flames for all of these years and then back the fuck out when a loser takes his words to heart. On the real, Crusius thought he was helping the fucking cause, folks.

Moving on, let’s talk about Dayton, Ohio. Now, 24-year-old Connor Betts rolled up to the Ned Peppers bar and fired at everyone outside. In under a minute, he murdered 9 people and hurt 27 more. Sadly, his sister, Megan Betts, was one of the innocent folks killed outside of the bar. All I know is, it’s absolutely baffling that he was able to cause so much damage in such a short period of time.

Anyway, when it comes to Betts, he identified as a Democrat. Furthermore, based on his social media presence, he supported Elizabeth Warren and socialism. In addition, he had numerous tweets displaying his disdain for the Trump administration. In any case, I’m still not sure what this fucktard’s motive was. All I can say is, it better not have been related to any bipartisan shit. Bruh, what kind of idiot thinks mass murder is an effective political tool? Like I said, I don’t know if that was his motivation, but at this point, I’d believe it, son. The fact is, people don’t need to die to prove a stupid ass point, man. No one deserves to be killed for the Democrats or the Republicans.

With all of that being said, let’s talk about the two main issues at hand: guns and White male terrorists. Listen, anytime some shit doesn’t go some White dude’s way, his solution is to kill a bunch of innocent people. Look, Timothy McVeigh was mad at the government, so he bombed an entire Federal building. Dylann Roof hated Black people, so he shot up a church. Now, Crusius despised Hispanics, so he drove over 9 hours to murder them. The fact is, domestic (White) terrorists are WAY more dangerous than another other group. That’s right, more deadly than the Muslims they always try to pit us against.

On top of that, the weaponry these terrorists have access to changes the entire game, fam. Bruh, Betts was able to shoot 35+ people in under a minute, son. Real talk, I don’t want to hear a debate, man. Keeping it a buck, if all he had was a knife, there is NO way he’d be able to do that much damage, folks. So yes, the guns are also a fucking problem, brethren. At this point, I really don’t understand how dummies can even argue either of these facts.

In the end, I don’t know what else to say, son. Ultimately, we have a gun control problem that no one wants to talk about. We have a White terrorism problem that no one wants to talk about. Shit, Dave Gomez, a former FBI counter-terrorism agent, admitted as much to the Senate, man. By and by, since nobody in power wants to touch these subjects, people will keep on dying, fam. At the end of the day, they can take their “thoughts and prayers” and shove it up their partisan asses, bruh. That is all. LC out.

Shot In His Own Damn Home: The Story Of Botham Shem Jean

Fam, this story makes me so fucking mad! Like, I’m not even sure where to direct my rage, son. I mean, the senseless death of Botham Shem Jean was already bad enough, man. But, now the authorities keep changing the fucking story! Why? To protect one of them own, bruh. Real talk, from the jump I told my wife that they would find a way to get Amber Guyger off of the hook for murder. Now, as it currently stands, I HIGHLY doubt any real justice will be served, people.

Ok, for those who have been living under a rock, Botham Jean was shot in his own damn home. Originally, it was said that Guyger, a Dallas police officer, was coming home after a 14-hour shift. Apparently, she lives on the third floor of this apartment building, but got off on the fourth floor. Next, she tried to use her key on Jean’s door, but of course, it didn’t work. After struggling with the lock, Jean opened the door. From there, she assumed he was an intruder and shot him in the chest. Finally, Jean was pronounced dead after he was taken to the hospital.

Fast forward to today, the “official” story of Jean’s murder is now completely different, son. Now, according to Guyger and her legal team, Jean’s door was slightly “ajar.” Next, when she opened the door, she saw a silhouette in the background. From there, she claims that she gave Jean “verbal commands,” but he ignored them. After that, she shot at Jean two times, hitting him once in the chest.

Listen, there are A TON of things wrong with her story, man. First, am I really supposed to believe that Jean was in his apartment with the door unlocked? Fam, NOBODY does that! Second, what the fuck does she mean “verbal commands?” That was his motherfucking apartment, bruh! This woman trespassed on HIS property and tried to give HIM commands?! For God‘s sake, the fucking gall of this woman, son! On the real, she’s legit trying to victim shame a dude who SHE violated! It’s fucking unnerving, people!

Now, to add insult to injury, two witnesses who live in the building have disputed Guyger’s story. According to them, before the murder occurred, they could hear her banging on the door saying “let me in.” Keeping it a buck, that sounds a lot more logical, son. It makes way more sense that she couldn’t get in the apartment than the theory that Jean left the door unlocked. *Sigh* I’m just fucking tired of police trying to find ways to justify why their officers kill people. It’s fucking disgusting, man!

In the end, fuck Guyger and fuck the Dallas police department! Ultimately, they waited like two days to come up with some bullshit story, fam. By and by, Jean lost his life over nothing. Absolutely nothing, bruh! At the end of the day, Black people aren’t even safe at home, son. Fuck, man! Fuck! LC out.

Justice Is All We Ask For

So, let me get straight to the point, son. Look, it’s always refreshing when a murderous cop gets what he/she deserves, man. On the real, I feel like naysayers have always gotten the Black Lives Matter movement wrong. Listen, Black people aren’t only concerned with crime when it’s perpetrated by a White person. Frankly, all we want is equal justice under the law, fam. With that being said, I’m ecstatic that Roy Oliver was found guilty of murdering Jordan Edwards.

Now, for those who may have forgot, back in April of 2017, Oliver, a Balch Springs police officer, shot and killed Edwards. Side note, I’m judging anyone who doesn’t remember this story, bruh. Seriously. Anyway, the shooting occurred after Edwards left a house party with his brothers and a couple of friends. On the flip side, Oliver and his squad arrived on the scene after receiving a call about shots being fired. From there, while approaching Edwards’ car, Oliver shot the teen through the window, THEN lied and claimed that the driver tried to run him over. In any case, after his trial, Oliver was found guilty of murder.

Ok, let’s be clear, son. Oliver’s conviction was definitely the right decision. I mean, anybody with a brain could see that this man abused his authority. The problem is, officers like Oliver are almost NEVER punished for their crimes, man. THAT’S the problem we have with the justice system, fam. Listen, if I shot and killed somebody today, best believe my Black ass is going to prison, bruh. But, when an officer does it, we have to fucking beg for the law to do its cotdamn job. All in all, THIS is what the BLM movement has always been about, brethren: accountability.

In the end, I have nothing else to say, son. Ultimately, good riddance to Roy Oliver, man. By and by, I hope he doesn’t drop the soap, fam. All I know is, a dirty cop like him is going to have a hard time behind those walls. At the end of the day, that’s exactly what he deserves, bruh. Rest In Peace, Jordan Edwards. LC out.

What Is Wrong With Today’s Youth?

So, here we are again, son. Another day, another violent act in an American school. Look, when a school shooting occurs, the conversation almost immediately turns to guns. Now, in a good amount of situations, that dialogue is warranted, man. However, I have another question that also needs addressing, fam: what is wrong with today’s youth, bruh? I mean, whether it’s killing their fellow students or committing suicide, death always seems to be the answer for these kids. All in all, I want to know why.

Ok, before I continue, let me talk about Dimitrios Pagourtzis. Now, as I’m sure we all know, Pagourtzis is the latest mass murderer to victimize a school. As of right now, ten people are dead and another thirteen are injured after the 17-year-old opened fire at Santa Fe High School in Texas. Currently, I don’t know if authorities have figured out a motive. According to victim Shana Fisher‘s mom, Shana rejected Pagourtzis a few days prior and could’ve been targeted because of it. In any case, we just don’t know, son.

Now, some of my liberal compatriots may be mad at me, but I don’t think this particular case is a gun issue. Listen, Pagourtzis’s father legally owned the Remington 970 shotgun and .38 caliber pistol that Pagourtzis used. On the real, there was no way for a gun seller to know that this dude’s son would do what he did, man. Look, “being weird” is not a strong enough sign to determine who’s going to be a killer, fam. Shit, I knew plenty of “weird” kids in school and none of them ever showed up with a weapon, bruh.

Anyway, I really want to know what’s going on in these kids’s heads, son. Furthermore, I want to lump in the kids who commit suicide, man. Like, why is violence against themselves or others the answer? What is so “bad” about their lives that they see no other option, fam? Frankly, being bullied is not a good enough to reason to take anyone’s life, bruh. Real talk, I was bullied when I was a kid too. Hell, I wore glasses and braces, so I was an easy mark for antagonizers, folks. All I know is, once I hit someone back, the dynamic started to change.

In the end, maybe I’m rambling, son. Maybe I’m giving too much humanity to people who do disgusting things. However, if we don’t understand the motivation behind these acts, how can we really prevent them? Ultimately, taking away all of the guns can’t be the only answer, man. By and by, I’m one of the main proponents of gun control, fam. But, there’s something going on in these situations that’s deeper than access to firearms, bruh. At the end of the day, I just want to know what it is, people. Keeping it a buck, I really don’t have the answers. That is all. LC out.
