Trump Supporters: F*ck Your Tax Returns

So, I’m going to try and keep it brief today, son. I mean, I’ve already spent a great deal of time talking about Donald Trump and his supporters, man. But, in honor of tax season, I would like to address some of my disgruntled GOP compatriots. Listen, I don’t give a fuck about anyone’s tax returns, fam. Well, that’s not entirely true. Like, I care about taxes because of how they’ll affect me too. However, if this is the only reason why some people have Trump remorse, then I kinda hate those folks, bruh.

Ok, for those who haven’t filed their taxes yet, be prepared for a rude awakening, son. Apparently, thanks to President Orange’s new tax code, all of us are getting fucked with our returns, man. Basically, as of right now, returns are about 8% lower than usual. All I know is, I don’t like cats fucking with my money, fam. Shit, citizens work hard all year, hoping we’ll see some get-back from the IRS. However, all we get in return is the government taking more earnings from us, bruh. Frankly, the shit is disgusting, brethren.

In any case, I’m not here to argue about where my money went, son. Nah, I’m here to talk about the Republicans who are upset with this current situation. So, tax returns were the straw that broke the camel’s back, huh? Not the government shutdown over a border wall? Not the discrimination against transgender soldiers? Not the rhetoric against Muslims? Not the horde of dummies going to prison on Trump’s behalf? This? This is the time where Trump went too far? *Sigh* For God’s sake, the lack of empathy is just jarring, man. On the real, folks really don’t care about atrocities until they are DIRECTLY affected, fam. All I can say is, I have ZERO sympathy for these individuals.

In the end, I’m surprised that I can still be surprised, bruh. Ultimately, I just have to come to grips with the fact that there are a lot of trash ass people in this country, son. By and by, I know I’ll be sad when I file my taxes, man. At the end of the day, I should’ve known better than to expect the government to work in our best interests, fam. That is all. LC out.

RIP Combat Jack

So, for those who don’t know, I’m a big podcast guy, son. Like, for someone who’s a musician, I spend waaay more time listening to podcasts, man. In any case, out of all of the podcasts in the known universe, the Combat Jack Show is always one of my go-to listens. With that being said, I’m sad to hear about the death of Reggie Ossé aka Combat Jack. Now, while I was aware of his cancer diagnosis, I didn’t expect him to go so soon, fam. All in all, Rest In Peace to one of Hip Hop‘s podcast pioneers, bruh.

Ok, back in October, Jack came out of the blue and told the world that he was recovering from colon cancer surgery. At the time, that news was shocking because us fans didn’t know he was sick. Anyway, in my eyes, even though I’ve personally seen the affects of cancer on loved ones, I thought Jack was going to be alright. Now, my sentiments were mainly based on Jack’s own demeanor. I mean, even though he knew he was in a precarious position, he still had a good attitude about everything. Real talk, he refused to let the cancer dim his light, son. All I know is, his outward composure was commendable as fuck, man.

Moving on, although Jack is now gone, his influence can’t be denied, fam. Listen, outside of his history as a prominent lawyer in Hip Hop, he founded one of the culture’s most recognizable podcast brands, fam. Hell, as of right now, who isn’t on the Loud Speakers Network, bruh? Currently, they have The Read with Kid Fury and Crissle, The Brilliant Idiots with Charlamagne Tha God and Andrew Schulz, Lip Service with Angela Yee and many more. In addition, they also had Tax Season with Taxstone before his unfortunate legal situation. Now, when I add on Mogul, his Chris Lighty documentary on Spotify, it’s clear that this man had a MAJOR impact on the zeitgeist, son.

In the end, shout-out to Mr. Ossé for everything he’s accomplished, man. Ultimately, I hope he realized his impact while he was here, fam. By and by, he was a real torchbearer for Hip Hop and that should never be forgotten. Once again, RIP to Combat Jack. LC out.

Taxstone Done F*cked Up

Damn, Taxstone. Damn, son. What the fuck, man? How’d this shit happen, bro? Someone please tell me Tax didn’t really get himself involved in this Troy AveRonald McPhatterIrving Plaza nonsense. Listen, I know Tax and Troy have had beef for a while now, but c’mon son, this situation was a bad look for everyone involved. On the real, if the NYPD is right about the evidence they have against Tax, he’s absolutely going back to jail. At this time in his career, that would be a fucking shame, son.

Now, as a refresher, in May of last year, there was a shooting at New York City‘s Irving Plaza. During a T.I. concert, Troy Ave got into some type of altercation, which resulted in him getting shot, his bodyguard getting killed and him being filmed firing more shots in the crowded venue. After the incident, Troy was arrested and accused of attempted murder. Despite the charges against him, he maintained that he was acting in self-defense after wrestling the gun away from the man who killed McPhatter.

Moving on, no one really knew the root cause of the drama and a lot of different names were thrown into the pot. At first, random sources claimed Maino had something to do with the violence. However; that rumor was quickly dispelled. With all of that being said, Tax’s name always kept floating around. Apparently, his name wasn’t just ringing out in the streets. As it seems, the police were also keeping tabs on him this entire time.

So, after claiming they found his DNA on the murder weapon, cops arrested Tax and charged him with weapon possession. As of yet, they haven’t charged him with McPhatter’s death, but I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the next step. To make matters worse, the original gun owner already told police he left the gun with an associate of Tax back in October of 2015. Keep in mind, Tax is a convicted felon who’s on the hook now for a gun charge in New York. Shit, it might be a SUPER wrap for him, son.

Look, all I want to know is, why would Tax get himself involved in this type of fuckery? I listen to his Tax Season podcast often and he’s CONSTANTLY talking about leaving his old life behind. Yes, he talks a lot of shit, but he’s also made it clear that he considers himself a retired goon now. In just one year, he’s turned himself into an influential podcast figure and music A&R. Why risk all of that over some stupid ass beef with a local rapper?

At this point, it doesn’t matter what the problem is between Tax and Troy. This one situation has set both of their careers off course and someone lost their life in the process. What the fuck for, man? Hood bullshit should never be the reason we block our blessings and ruin our opportunities. There’s literally nothing to gain from this type of war, son. Nothing at all, man.

In the end, I don’t know what else to say, son. Ultimately, I wish Tax the best and hope this scenario isn’t as black and white as it seems. It would be a damn shame for him to come this far and throw it all away, man. That is all. I’m out.
