Are Folks Surprised That Ronald Reagan Said Racist Sh*t?

So, here we are, son. Shit, the more things change the more they stay the same, man. I mean, the sky is blue, water is wet and Ronald Reagan said racist shit. Like, are folks actually surprised by this, fam? Are people really shocked that Reagan said some negative shit about Black people? If so, then those people have never paid attention to his political career, bruh.

Ok, for those who missed it, Tim Naftali, the man who ran the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum from 2007 to 2011, released some audio of a private conversation between then-Governor Reagan and President Nixon. Now, during the conversation, the two men were talking about a United Nations gathering. Anyway, during that meeting, the organization decided to recognize the People’s Republic of China. In addition, during the General Assembly, members of the Tanzanian delegation had a good time dancing. With that being said, this is where Reagan’s racism took off.

Now, during his convo with Nixon, Reagan literally said “To see those, those monkeys from those African countries… damn them, they’re still uncomfortable wearing shoes!” Moving on, in response to Reagan’s words, all Nixon did was laugh. Side bar, Nixon also called Black people “cannibals” in another convo, but we don’t have time for that right now. So, here it is, two former presidents disparaging an entire country and an entire continent. *Sigh* And people wonder why Black people don’t trust politicians.

Look, if anyone has ever paid attention to Reagan, then they shouldn’t be startled by this. Hell, a lot of Reagan’s political rhetoric and policies were based in bigotry, son. Listen, this is the same man that thought it was okay for people to discriminate against Black people in the housing market. Fam, he actually said “If an individual wants to discriminate against Negroes or others in selling or renting his house, it is his right to do so.”

Also, Reagan is the same man who was in charge during the Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1986. Now, for those who are unaware, this is the law that caused the 100:1 sentencing disparity between offenders who sold crack cocaine and offenders who sold pure cocaine. Meaning, minorities, who were more likely to sell/use crack, were getting WAY more prison time than pure cocaine dealers. Needless to say, this ravaged Black and Brown communities for years to come, man.

In the end, folks just need to listen to Killer Mike‘s “Reagan,” bruh. Ultimately, a good portion of his political identity was built on bigotry, son. By and by, I’m just glad that shit like this is coming out now. Frankly, we need to destroy the façade of America, man. All I know is, people like to pretend like this country was/is more forward-thinking than it really is. At the end of the day, a lot of our elected officials maintain the same type of mentality as Reagan. The problem is, they’re just publicly embracing the prejudice now. I mean, just take one glance at Donald Trump, fam. That is all. LC out.

Is Shepard Smith The Real MVP?

So, there are a few things I don’t believe I’ll ever see in life: a human being hit “The Note” from Sister Act 2, an actual album from Jay Electronica and someone from Fox News call Donald Trump out on his constant bullshit. Well, I guess I can cross one of those things off of the list, son. I mean, Shepard Smith just shocked the shit out of me yesterday. Watching him eviscerate Trump over his habitual fabrications was must-see-television, man! As expected, the Trump brigade is calling for his head as I write this. However; I’m ecstatic to finally see some GOP members grow a pair. Frankly, their party created Trump and it’s up to them to stop him.

Now, in case anyone missed it, Smith had one simple question for Trump: why does he tell SO MANY LIES? Smith brought up the fact that Trump can’t tweet or publicly speak without saying something wildly inaccurate. As an example, he referenced several statements that Trump made during his awkward ass press conference. He talked about the fact that Trump hasn’t given a good answer about what’s happening with Russia. Trump insists that his administration isn’t in cahoots with Vladimir Putin‘s, but if that was the case, then why was Michael Flynn fired?

Moving on, Smith also slammed Trump’s notion that he had the highest Electoral College victory since Ronald Reagan. Fuck semantics, that simply isn’t true, man. It shouldn’t matter whether or not someone is a Trump supporter, son. Facts are facts, regardless of how anyone feels about them. There is verifiable evidence to disprove A LOT of the information Trump spews into the mainstream. Smith is doing the right thing by taking Trump to task for his nonsensical ramblings.

Keeping it a buck, I was genuinely happy to see this, man. Like, at some point, even right-wing enthusiasts have to see the writing on the wall. Asking someone to be honest is not political, son. Trump is the fucking President, for God‘s sake! We don’t give a fuck about ratings, we don’t give a fuck about baseless claims of “fake news” and we don’t give a fuck about his fragile ego. We just want that man to do his fucking job. As it stands, he’s completely incapable of behaving as an elected official should, man. It’s actually frightening to watch, bruh.

Ultimately, we need more people like Smith. The more Republicans who hold Trump accountable, the better. Since they control Congress and will eventually control the Supreme Court, they’re our biggest line of defense. Keep in mind, I just threw up a little when I wrote that. However; it just is what it is, son. In any case, for today, and today only, Shepard Smith is the real MVP. LC out.

Donald Trump Loves The Blacks

Honestly, son, when is enough really enough? How much bullshit can one man spew before people see him for who he is? At this point, I legitimately can’t take anyone who supports Donald Trump seriously. For me, anyone deciding to give this guy their vote has already told me everything I need to know about them. Furthermore, in my eyes, any minority who’s onboard with Trump’s platform is either oblivious or complicit to his inflammatory language. In any case, his latest pitch to Black people further crystallizes the fact this man CANNOT be our next president.

Now, this past Monday, at a rally in Akron, Ohio, Trump decided to “speak” to Black people in front of a mostly-White audience. According to him, living conditions for the Black community are so horrendous in this country, we’d be much better off by voting for him. In his depiction of our current state, he insinuated our lives are nothing more than complete hellholes. He brought up poverty, bad education and crime at “levels nobody has seen” as some sort of justification for why we need him. In his eyes, all of these “events” have occurred under the watch of the Democrats. With that being said, apparently, the only way for us to have our slice of the American Dream is to elect him into office.

Look, I have SO many issues with his statements I don’t even know where to start, son. First, his depiction of Black life in America is DRASTICALLY exaggerated. Even during an interview with Anderson Cooper on CNN, he tried to pass off some fraudulent statistic about 40% of African-Americans living in poverty. When Cooper corrected him by saying the percentage is actually 26%, Trump’s reaction was to say there wasn’t a big discrepancy between the two numbers. Is this dude fucking kidding, man? A difference of 14% is a HUGE difference if these are the “facts” he’s using to justify his half baked theories. He’s essentially trying to say almost half of the Black people in this country are living in poverty, when in actuality, the number is much closer to a quarter. In addition, how can he blame the Democrats for all of our “issues” when instances such as the crack epidemic and Rockerfeller Drug Laws happened under Ronald Reagan and Nelson Rockerfeller, respectively? In case Trump forgot, both of those individuals were very Republican, man. Basically, these hugely, and negatively, influential time periods happened under Republican watch. Trump can thank his own party for a good portion of the poor treatment my people have faced in this country.

Next, how dare this man try to have this type of conversation in a room full of White people. He doesn’t have the wherewithal to come to our communities and talk with us directly, but thinks it’s alright to pass judgment in front of our Caucasian counterparts? To make matters worse, Corey Lewandowski, Trump’s former campaign manager, came out and said Trump won’t visit Black communities because it wouldn’t be a “safe environment.” Good fucking Lord, man, the hits just keep on coming! So, this presidential nominee is asking for our vote and somehow thinks thoroughly disrespecting us is the right move? I literally can’t comprehend how he or his aids think. He’s spreading fallacies while berating us and this is somehow supposed to endear him to our people? Get this fool the flying fuck out of here, man.

Finally, in the coup de grâce of asshole, this past Saturday, Trump brought the tragic killing of Nykea Aldridge into the political atmosphere. Now, for anyone who missed this, Aldridge is Dwyane Wade‘s cousin who was hit by a stray bullet during a gang shooting in Chicago. Horrifically, the mother-of-four was pushing her youngest child’s stroller when the incident occurred. Now, instead of simply sending condolences to her family in their time of grief, Trump used this situation as an opportunity to send another pitch to Black people. According to his logic, her death is somehow “proof” Black people will vote for him. All jokes aside, I’m so offended by this ploy that I can’t properly put it into words. There is absolutely NO depth this man won’t sink to. This woman just passed away and he couldn’t wait to politicize her death. On the real, disgusting doesn’t even begin to describe this type of tactic, son. I’m convinced this clown doesn’t have a soul at all.

All in all, fuck this dude, man. There’s really no other way for me to say it. In addition, fuck anyone who supports Trump too. In all seriousness, if I have a personal relationship with you and you support Donald Trump, lose my number, unfollow me on social media and forget any other form of communication. This isn’t about politics anymore. This man is a toxic human being and I refuse to associate with anyone who indulges in his brand of divisiveness. Good day.
