My Album Is On Apple Music, Spotify & Tidal!

So, I won’t lie, son. On the real, I’m having a hard time keeping my composure right now, man. I mean, MY ALBUM IS OUT, FAM! That’s right, my album, The Charlemagne Renaissance, is officially on all streaming services. Meaning, if anybody goes to Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, etc., my album is ready to go, bruh. With that being said, I hope everyone takes a listen and gives me some feedback, folks.

Now, for those who remember, I was putting out a lot of music in 2017. Thanks to New Music Fridays, I was dropping a new song every two weeks. Anyway, all of the songs were just floating around SoundCloud. So, I decided to properly release them as an album, son. From there, Jevon Roché gave me some super dope artwork and Rick Torres mastered the project. Needless to say, I’m indebted to the both of them, man. Also, my guy Zeyi came through with the fire verse and blessed a song. All in all, I’m beyond hyped, fam!

In the end, there’s nothing else to say, bruh. Ultimately, I just hope that people will take the time to listen, son. By and by, I put a lot of work into this album and I hope folks enjoy it, man. In any case, to whoever is reading this, let me know what the best tracks on the project are. I’m always interested in hearing people’s opinions. Thank you! That is all. LC out.

Thanks For Supporting My Music

So, since Thanksgiving is this week, instead of tripping on the historical fuckery of the Pilgrims, I’ve decided to talk about what I’m thankful for. With that being said, I want to say “thank you” to every family member and friend who has aided my musical journey. Over the last year, I’ve been back on the right path, and over the last two months, the pace has accelerated. All in all, I don’t take anyone’s support for granted, son.

Ok, as a lot of folks may know, since early 2017, I’ve been putting out new records. Now, from March to December, I’ve released a total of 16 songs as part of my New Music Fridays series. Fast forward to September of this year, I’ve returned to performing onstage. Since September 8th, I’ve had a total of five shows, including one at the legendary SOB’s. Needless to say, I’ve enjoyed every minute of it, man. In any case, none of this would’ve been possible if my people didn’t help me. So, I couldn’t let this time pass without giving them my full gratitude. Frankly, all of these fine folks are helping me live out my dream.

In the end, I don’t know what else to say, fam. Ultimately, this is the happiest I’ve felt in years. By and by, something happens to the spirit when a dream is deferred. At the end of the day, I’m glad I’m out of that rut, bruh. Anyway, I love everyone who’s gotten me to this point and this is only the beginning, son. As of right now, I have some big things on the horizon. First, I’m going to be re-releasing my The Charlemagne Renaissance album on Apple Music, Spotify and Tidal. Side note, folks can vibe out to it on SoundCloud for the time being. In any case, be on the lookout for that. Also, I have more shows in the very near future. The time is now and I want everybody to take this ride with me. Thanks a lot! LC out.

P.S. Shout-out to Scott Morris and all of my brethren at Mor.Bookings for holding the boy down. They’re definitely the plug that I’m not going to run off on. That is all.

P.P.S. Everyone go follow @lcharlemagnenyc on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. That’s where I make all of my music-related posts. Yessir! Good day.

My 500th Post

So, I won’t lie, son. I don’t really have anything weighing on my mind today, man. Well, that’s not true at all. I mean, I have a million things on my mind, but nothing that I feel the need to write about, fam. Instead, I just want to take this time to thank any and everybody who supports this raggedy ass blog, bruh. Shit, as of today, I’ve reached 500 posts, brethren. Real talk, that’s a lot of fucking writing, folks. All I can say is, I wouldn’t have kept this up if people didn’t hold me down. Hell, every time I’ve wanted to quit, someone would randomly give me a word that I needed to hear. With that being said, I just want to acknowledge the fact that I don’t take any of it for granted. In the end, I’m going to do my best to make sure my shit ain’t trash, people. Love y’all! That is all. LC out.

New Music Fridays: LC ‘Here & Now’ & ‘Legacy’

Ok, before anybody asks, no, I’m not restarting New Music Fridays per se. In actuality, today’s post was inspired by my recent show, son. Now, I only had a ten-minute set, but I was able to squeeze three songs in there, man. In any case, for those who are familiar with my music, “Two Eyes” was the first song I performed. However, the last two joints I rocked out to were new, fam. So, I feel like it’s only right for me to share them with everyone, bruh.

With that being said, everybody can listen to “Here & Now” and “Legacy” below, son. As always, the songs can be streamed/downloaded on SoundCloud and streamed on YouTube. All I can say is, it’s good to be back in my element, man. Keeping it a buck, based on the amount of time I’ve been away, I was nervous before I got onstage, fam. But, once I got up there, I felt like I was at home, bruh. Shout-out to all of the good people who came to see me. All in all, there will be more shows and more music in the near future, folks. Fuck with your boy! LC out.

Hi, My Name Is LC & I Have A Show On Saturday

So, let me keep this brief, folks. As the title says, I have a show this coming Saturday. Now, those who know me or are familiar with my blog know that I’m a musician at heart. Hell, I spent most of 2017 putting out songs through my New Music Fridays thingamajig. In any case, there was one piece that was still missing, son: performing. On the real, I spent most of my late teens/early 20s on stages and I got away from that, man. Well, that ends this weekend, fam. The boy LC is back and ready to get down with the shits, bruh!

With that being said, let’s get the proceedings proceeding, son. So, for anyone in New York City, I’m performing at The West End this Saturday at 10:30 PM. Doors open at 10:00 PM and I have an 8-minute set. The plan is to knock out three songs, so it’s enough time to get a little vibe going, man. Anyway, if anyone is down to roll through, click here for tickets. We can all get hammered after I hit the stage, fam. Furthermore, shout-out to Scott Morris and Mor.Bookings for giving the dude an opportunity, bruh.

In the end, that’s all I’ve got, son. Shit, let’s have a good time, man! See everyone on Saturday! LC out.

What Do Y’all Want From This Site?

So, today’s post is going to be a little bit different, son. Basically, I’d like to have a direct dialogue with my audience, man. With that being said, I want to ask a simple question: what does everyone want to see on this site? Now, at this point, I’ve spent a number of years just rambling about whatever crossed my mind. On the real, I’m super thankful for everybody who holds me down, fam. In any case, I’ve never really taken the time to cater to the needs of my supporters. Well, that changes today, bruh!

All in all, I’d like to hear from all of the fine folks out there. So, what kind of topics would people like to see me touch on? Is there a different format that I should consider embracing? Feel free to let me know on any of my platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or right here on this site. Side bar, my handle is “icbfdotcom” on all of those social media sites. Thanks a lot, brethren. LC out.

P.S. Shout-out to my wife Triciah for giving me the idea to do this. Love ya, babe!

The End Of ‘New Music Fridays’

So, we’ve come to the end of an era, folks. First off, I want to thank everyone who’s supported me through my New Music Fridays experiment. Since March of 2017, I decided to put out a new song every two weeks. This is mainly because I’m a crazy person who likes to overwork himself. In any case, I might’ve missed a couple of weeks over the course of a year, but I’m happy to say that I still put out 16 songs I’m proud of. With that being said, I’ve decided to piece all of my songs together into one compilation album.

Now, without further ado, everyone can listen to The Charlemagne Renaissance below. Keep in mind, this is an unmastered version of the album. Ultimately, I’m going to get it mastered and put it on all of the streaming services. For now, folks can get a basic gist of my brand of music. Anyway, the album can be streamed on SoundCloud below. All in all, I would love to get everyone’s feedback, so feel free to drop a note or a comment, son.

Lastly, this isn’t the end of my musical journey. Basically, I felt like this series had run its course and I want to move on to other plans. By and by, I have big goals for 2018 and I’ll definitely share them as things start to happen. Ok, I think I’ve rambled enough, man. Let’s just get to the music, fam. Yessir! LC out.
