Lena Waithe Has A Lot Of Nerve

So, let me just cut to the chase, son. The way I see it, Lena Waithe needs to lay low right now. I mean, given all of the fuckery surrounding Jason Mitchell and The Chi, she probably shouldn’t be calling out Will Smith and Denzel Washington. Hell, those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones, man. All in all, I don’t necessarily have a problem with the message, fam. The truth is, I have a REAL issue with the messenger, bruh.

Ok, for those who missed it, Waithe just tried to take Smith, Washington and other Black actors to task. Basically, she feels like not enough high-profile Black actors are funding independent films from Black directors and writers. As an example, she noted that Brad Pitt‘s production company, Plan B, was the entity behind Moonlight and 12 Years a Slave. In her view, that responsibility should lie with folks within the Black community.

Now, I’m not going to sit here and pretend like Waithe doesn’t have a point, son. Shit, as a Black dude, I would love for actors like Smith and Washington to back as many Black films as humanly possible. On the real, I absolutely believe it’s our community’s job to pay it forward, man. However, given the way Waithe (didn’t) handle that Jason Mitchell situation, I feel like she is the LAST person who should sound judgy about anyone, fam.

Look, it’s kind of hard for me to look at her as a champion for Black people when she wasn’t a champion for women, bruh. Real talk, two women were sexually assaulted on HER SHOW and she barely did anything about it, son. First, Tiffany Boone complained about Mitchell’s inappropriate behavior. From there, instead of firing him, Waithe hired Ayanna Floyd Davis as the showrunner. Next, when it was clear that Mitchell was still on that fuckity-fuck shit, Waithe’s response was in poor taste, man.

Listen, in response to Floyd Davis’ gripes, Waithe literally said “I don’t regret making a Black woman a showrunner. I do regret trusting her to handle it all by herself. Just cause you look like me, don’t mean you act like me.” Fam, what the fuck does that even mean?! Shit, it sounds like she’s blaming Floyd Davis for not having control of the situation. But, why should it be on her to stop Mitchell’s harassment, bruh? Nah, homie should’ve been kicked off of the fucking show from the gate, son!

In the end, maybe I’m being a little hard on Waithe, man. Then again, I don’t really give a shit, fam. The fact is, if women are getting assaulted on Waithe’s show, I don’t want to hear her opinion on other Black actors. Ultimately, she should take care of home before she comes for someone else’s neck, bruh. By and by, her callout rubbed me the wrong way, son. At the end of the day, she’s right and deadass wrong at the same fucking time, brethren. That is all. LC out.

Robert Mueller Is Putting Cases On All You B*tches!

Disclaimer: Everyone should read the title in Denzel Washington’s voice from Training Day. That is all.

So, shit just got real, huh? After all of the talk about Robert Mueller’s investigation, heads are starting to roll, son. With that being said, I’d be remiss if I didn’t get these jokes off about all of the fuckity-fuck shit going on in Donald Trump’s inner circle. In any case, let’s take a deep dive into all of the shit that Paul Manafort, Rick Gates and George Papadopoulos have gotten themselves into, man.

Ok, for those living under a rock, the shitshow began on Friday, fam. As the week came to a close, word got out that a sealed indictment was underway. From that standpoint, it was highly likely that someone was going to get arrested, bruh. Now, in light of that information, I assumed that Manafort was going to be the first to go down. Shit, after the FBI raised his crib back in August, it was only a matter of time before he was in a world of hurt, folks. Moving on, I was proven right when Monday came around. However; I would’ve never guessed the type of dirt that they have on him, people.

Basically, Trump’s former campaign chairman is a scammer, son. Since around 2005, he’s been laundering millions of dollars through overseas shell companies. Both him and his adviser, Rick Gates, have been living their best Joanne The Scammer life for well over a decade. As it stands, their fraud was still going on even after Manafort came aboard Trump’s team. Anyway, both men have been officially charged and are currently out of bail. In addition, both have pleaded not guilty to the accusations.

Now, the wildest part is, this isn’t even the wildest part of the story, son. Frankly, George Papadopoulos is the bigger news, man. Look, although Manafort and Gates have been involved in massive amounts of fuckery, the White House can still maintain plausible deniability. However; Papadopoulos’ tale is where shit gets interesting, fam. To begin, he’s already pled guilty to lying to federal agents. So, what did he lie about exactly? Russia, bruh. Russia.

As we now know, Papadopoulos, Trump’s former foreign policy adviser, was actively working with Kremlin-connected clowncakes to get dirt on Hillary Clinton. To make matters worse, in his own correspondence, he stated that he wanted someone low-level to meet with them in order to keep the heat away from Trump. Son, that has conspiracy written all over it! Real talk, the situation is so bad for Papadopoulos that he didn’t even try to fight the charges, man. The way I see it, I wouldn’t be surprised if he started rolling on everyone, fam. Shit, let the snitching begin!

In the end, all I can do is laugh at this, bruh. On the real, I doubt we’ve seen the last of the indictments, folks. Hell, I know Michael Flynn is somewhere sweating right now, son. Ultimately, a bunch of corrupt people were/are on Trump’s squad, man. Am I supposed to believe that he’s innocent of ALL of the fuckery? Give me a break, fam. I ain’t that dumb. LC out.

My Problem With Casey Affleck

So, to be honest, in regards to acting merit, I AM upset that Casey Affleck beat Denzel Washington for Best Actor at the Academy Awards. However; that’s not why I’m writing this post today. In actuality, I’m REALLY upset that Affleck won this award because of his history. Now, whether people want to admit it or not, the Academy just awarded a sexual abuser with their highest honor. Ultimately, all I want to know is, why is Affleck allowed to slide but Nate Parker was destroyed by the allegations against him?

Now, before I continue, let me make a few things clear. I don’t fuck with sexual assault, regardless of the culprit’s race. Despite the fact that Parker was found not guilty of raping a fellow college student, I still believe he did it. Why? Because I heard the recorded conversation between him and the victim. Look, I won’t go any further into this because I already wrote a dissertation on this topic. In any case, when the general public got wind of this story, it completely tanked the promotion of his The Birth of a Nation film. All in all, I can’t really say I’m bothered by this because I have a hard time supporting an alleged rapist.

Moving on, everything I just said feeds into my disdain for Affleck’s win. Look, if anyone does a little digging, they’ll find the accusations that two women made against him during the filming of I’m Still Here. First, Magdalena Gorka claimed that he got into bed with her on set and tried to pressure her into sleeping with him. Now, since he was also the director, when she refused, he made her life hell on set. Next, Amanda White claimed that Affleck instructed another crew member to show her his dick, he called women “cows” and he also told her it was time for her to get pregnant. Basically, Affleck was fucking bugging during the movie shoot.

All I want to know is, why is Affleck allowed to prosper while Parker was taken down? In my eyes, neither men should be allowed to succeed. If we don’t condone violence against women, then perpetrators should have to walk around with a scarlet letter. I hate to bring race into discussions about women’s rights, but it’s no coincidence that a White rapist can reach the pinnacle of his industry, while a Black one falls by the wayside. Only in America can the people find a way to divide the same atrocity along racial lines.

In the end, both men ain’t shit for what they’ve done to women. On the real, Affleck can take his Oscar and shove it. Also, shout-out to the Academy for essentially being sexual abuse-sympathizers. *Sigh* It’s a crazy world we live in, son. LC out.
