Chris Matthews: Another One Bites The Dust

So, I won’t lie, son. On the real, I’ve always thought that Chris Matthews and Bill O’Reilly were the same person. I mean, they’re both loudmouthed and opinionated political commentators who refuse to let their guests speak. In addition, MSNBC and Fox News are essentially two sides of the same coin. With all of that being said, I’m not in the least bit surprised that Matthews and O’Reilly also have sexual harassment in common. All in all, the Me Too movement has officially gotten another member of the press the fuck outta here.

Ok, for those who missed it, after hosting Hardball with Chris Matthews since 1997, Matthews abruptly resigned on air. Side note, I’m using the word “resigned” loosely, son. In actuality, MSNBC told him to go kick rocks, man. Now, despite engaging in copious amounts of fuckery (such as likening Bernie Sanders‘ movement to the Nazi invasion of France), Matthews’ comments about women are what got his ass in trouble. Apparently, he’s been saying all manners of tomfoolery to women for years.

Now, things came to a head when Laura Bassett, a writer for GQ, detailed her experience with Matthews. As the story goes, she decided to speak up after she saw how Matthews talked to Elizabeth Warren on-air. From there, Bassett described a situation from 2016 where Matthews repeatedly made comments about Bassett’s attractiveness and wanting to fall in love with her. Needless to say, she ain’t like any of that shit, fam. In any case, Bassett isn’t the first woman to allege that Matthews has said some fuckity-fuck shit to them. All I can say is, this seems to have been a pattern for eons, bruh. Side note, he once made a joke about giving Hillary Clinton a “Bill Cosby pill” before an interview. Yeeeeah, that’s not something that should ever be said, brethren.

Moving on, after all of the stories (and to the surprise of his co-hosts), Matthews quit his show on live television. All I know is, we can add his name to the likes of O’Reilly, Matt Lauer and Charlie Rose who’ve had to bend the knee to their own shenanigans. Once again, I don’t understand why this behavior is even an issue, son. Like, is it really that hard to determine if a woman is open to advances? For God‘s sake, why is this so hard for some dudes to understand? The way I see it, there is NO reason for most of these cats to get caught up in the bullshit that they do. *Sigh* Another one bites the dust, man.

In the end, I can’t necessarily say that I’ll miss Chris Matthews. Ultimately, I feel like he’s another symptom of the machine, bruh. By and by, I may watch cable news, but I take everything with a grain of salt, son. At the end of the day, I don’t need “journalists” to explain the news to me. Just tell me what happened and let me come to my own conclusion, man. Also, fellow men, I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: find women who are actually interested. Don’t say “nice tits,” Michael Bloomberg. Don’t prematurely confess “love,” Chris Matthews. *Sigh* Knock the goofy shit off, people. That is all. LC out.

Good Riddance, Harvey Weinstein

So, here we are, son. After all of the kerfuffle, Harvey Weinstein was actually found guilty of something. Now, he may have skated on a couple of the more serious charges, but he’s officially been convicted of rape. All in all, this is a major moment for the Me Too and Time’s Up movements. I mean, when women started outing predators for their grotesque behavior, Weinstein was one of the creeps at the top of the list. With that being said, he’s finally being held (partially) responsible for his crimes.

Ok, for those who missed it, the hammer came down on Harvey Weinstein. Now, after five days of deliberation, a jury found him guilty of rape in the third degree and committing a criminal sexual act in the first degree. However, he was acquitted of rape in the first degree and predatory sexual assault. Anyway, from what I understand, the jury believed that he raped Jessica Mann and assaulted Mimi Haley. But, by definition, rape in the first degree requires “forcible compulsion,” which is somehow different from other forms of nonconsensual sex. Side bar, if the sex is nonconsensual, doesn’t that already make it “forcible?” Like, I’m no lawyer but that just makes sense to me, man. In any case, Weinstein now faces a possible prison term of five to 25 years. The way I see it, the court probably won’t go easy on him with the sentencing, fam.

Moving on, this case is another example of the “chickens coming home to roost” for notorious predators. Hell, back in 2018, the justice system got Bill Cosby the fuck up outta here. Side bar, I’m not even remotely surprised that Cosby is out here defending Weinstein, bruh. *Sigh* I guess rapists have to stick together, son. All I know is, I’m tired of getting messages from Cosby’s handlers. Fam, just tell Pudding Man to shut the fuck up and finish his sentence. In addition, where are all of the “woke” people on their “they’re only coming for Black celebrities” shit? Yeah, Weinstein was found guilty just like Cosby. So, let’s just worry about putting ALL of the rapists away and leave race out of this, man.

In the end, good riddance to Harvey Weinstein. Ultimately, he coasted for way too long, bruh. By and by, I hope the rest of these offenders are sweating bullets right now. At the end of the day, there’s no place for this type of abuse, son. For all of my dudes out there, just find people who actually want to fuck, man. It really isn’t that hard, folks. We’re (mostly) all sexual creatures. So, go bump uglies with somebody who actually wants it, brethren. That is all. LC out.

Cardi B: When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong

So, let me begin this post by saying that I’m a Cardi B fan. I mean, if anyone has read my blog, they’d know that, son. On the real, I’ve always appreciated the fact that she’s herself, regardless of the situation. On top of that, she’s from the Bronx, so that’s just code, man. With all of that being said, she needs to knock off the dumb shit, fam. Listen, we all know that she had a life before Rap. However, she needs to keep some of that shit to herself, bruh.

Ok, for those who missed it, Cardi is getting flamed for some shit she said on Instagram three years ago. So, based on her own admissions, she used to rob men during her stripper days. Now, to take it a step further, she admitted to luring men in who wanted to have sex with her, drugging them and THEN robbing them. Apparently, she did all of this because of “limited options.” Listen, I didn’t put “limited options” in quotations because I don’t believe she struggled. I phrased it like that because that’s still no fucking excuse, son. Look, I’m not naïve to crime, man. I’ve seen my fair share of fuckery while growing up in the Bronx, fam. But, she’s crazy if she thinks that people co-sign any of this behavior, bruh. Wrong is wrong is wrong, folks.

In addition, she ain’t need to confess to any of this shit, bruh. Like, this is the type of tomfoolery that got Liam Neeson in trouble. Real talk, no one needed to know that Neeson was looking for random Black dudes to kill, son. The same way that no one needed to know that Cardi was out here drugging dudes and doing Lord knows what to them. Now, instead of just tending to business, the public is looking at the both of them crazy, man. Hell, in the #MeToo era, Cardi can’t be out here talking about drugging people, fam. That’s the same shit that got Bill Cosby (rightfully) hemmed up.

In the end, Cardi needs to leave the past in the past. Ultimately, we already know that she’s not a perfect individual, bruh. By and by, she doesn’t need to keep reaffirming this. At this point, she’s just incriminating herself, son. Just watch, a bunch of dudes are about to come out and claim that Cardi did this to them. *Sigh* All of these younger artists just like snitching on themselves on social media, man. I just hope they know that the cops are listening, fam. That is all. LC out.

P.S. I don’t like the false equivalence between her actions and being a drug dealer. Yes, both are crimes, but at least a crackhead chose to do crack, son. All in all, Cardi’s victims ain’t choose shit, man. They just woke up with their possessions (and pride) gone. Keeping it a buck, I can guarantee that they didn’t sign up for that, fam. Good day.

My Question About Bill Cosby: Do We Really Want Justice?

So, the day has actually arrived, son. Bill Cosby, TV dad to a generation of people, is actually going to prison. Look, I won’t lie, man. I have conflicted feelings about this, fam. On one hand, he’s getting exactly what he deserves for abusing numerous women. On the other hand, it’s a damn shame that this has overshadowed everything he’s ever built, bruh. But, that’s what happens when someone has a long history of deviance, folks. In any case, I want to ask the people out there (mostly Black) one question: do we really want justice or do we want to be able to get away with the same crimes as White people?

Ok, before I continue, let me make one thing clear: I’m not here to argue about Cosby’s guilt, son. By now, if anyone hasn’t heard his 2005 deposition where he admits to giving women drugs so he can have sex with them, then that person is lost, man. Face it, Cosby did that shit, fam. Anyway, in the aftermath of his sentencing, social media has been in a tizzy, bruh. Real talk, a lot of the commentary seems to be around the idea that only Cosby, a Black man, is suffering the consequences of his actions. Furthermore, people would like to know why people like Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey haven’t suffered the same fate.

Listen, I agree with the idea that monsters like Weinstein and Spacey need to be held accountable. However, are we saying that since they haven’t paid the price yet that Cosby shouldn’t have to pay? Is that the wave we’re on? So, are our complaints about sexual abuse or the fact that Cosby is the only convicted celebrity? Ideally, I want everybody to go down for their treachery, son. Shit, I don’t want Cosby to be free just because Weinstein is free. I mean, that literally doesn’t make sense, man. All in all, a criminal shouldn’t be excused just because another criminal hasn’t been busted yet. So, instead of asking for Cosby’s release, we need to ask for all of the abusers to get helmed up, fam.

In the end, we need to let the hero worship die, bruh. Ultimately, we all know the justice system isn’t fair, son. But, that doesn’t mean we need to excuse Cosby’s behavior, man. By and by, he needed to pay for his crimes, fam. At the end of the day, people like Weinstein and Spacey also need to pay for their crimes. All I can say is, I don’t put them in different categories, bruh. Wrong is wrong is wrong. That is all. LC out.

Good Riddance, Bill Cosby

Look, let me be clear, son. I’m not one of those people who romanticizes Heathcliff Huxtable and The Cosby Show. I mean, I’m fully aware of Bill Cosby‘s impact across media, man. I’m fully aware of the doors he’s opened for Black people in both entertainment and education. However, I have the ability to acknowledge his past work and still think he’s a disgusting human being, fam. With that being said, Cosby is getting what he deserves right now, bruh. All in all, any man who has violated as many women as he has should NOT be celebrated, folks. Plain and simple.

So, for those who missed it, Cosby was convicted of three counts of aggravated indecent assault. All of this stemmed from an incident with Andrea Constand, a former Temple University employee, back in 2004. In any case, after all of the accusations against Cosby through the years, he finally got bagged for something. At this point, I don’t want to hear anybody else caping for this dude, son. On the real, DOZENS of women have accused Cosby of similar transgressions over the decades and NOBODY seemed to give a fuck. The way I see it, if folks really believe that ALL of the women are lying, then they probably think R. Kelly is innocent too. Side note, when the fuck are we going to get R. Kelly out of the paint, man? Hell, how much dastardly shit does one guy have to do before he sees any retribution? *Sigh*

In any case, people have to learn how to separate the man from his persona. Listen, Cliff Huxtable isn’t real, fam! Hillman College isn’t real, bruh! It’s okay to love what those images represented and still criticize its creator. Real talk, the images presented on The Cosby Show, A Different World and Fat Albert were AWESOME for Black people. But, that doesn’t mean we should give a deviant a pass, son. All I know is, no television show is worth a woman’s safety and/or dignity, man.

In the end, shout-out to Hannibal Buress, fam. Ultimately, it’s amazing that a secretly recorded joke started an avalanche, bruh. By and by, I know Buress has tried to separate himself from the scandal over the years. But, he unwittingly became an ally in the fight against sexual abuse. At the end of the day, Cosby got what was coming to him. All I can say is, I don’t feel one iota of sympathy for the man. That is all. LC out.

R. Kelly Is Who We Thought He Was

On the real, I don’t know what to say right now, son. Like, this story can’t be real, man. I mean, it could very possibly be real, but I can’t believe that we’re here again with R. Kelly. Real talk, this man is a fucking predator, fam! He’s always been a predator and he continues to be one. All I can say is, I hope this is the straw that finally breaks the camel’s back. However; I can’t help but doubt that, bruh.

Now, before I continue, I really want everyone to read this BuzzFeed article. The story was written by Jim DeRogatis, a journalist who’s been trying to show the world who R. Kelly really is for years. In any case, his latest post discusses various reports of Kelly running a six-woman “cult,” where their sole purpose is to please him in any way he sees fit.

Apparently, he brainwashes aspiring singers to the point where he tells them what to eat, when to sleep, how to dress and how to have sex with him. In addition, when they do something wrong, he supposedly abuses them both physically and verbally. Anyway, the parents of two of the young women have notified the police, but since they’re not technically “missing,” the authorities can’t really do anything.

Keeping it a buck, I don’t even have the time to detail all of the tidbits in this story, man. All I know is, Kelly is reportedly keeping these girls on either his Atlanta or Chicago property. Rumor has it, Kelly even had a “den mother” who taught the girls how to sexually satisfy him. Even crazier, this unnamed woman is said to be a friend of the underage girl who was in the R. Kelly sextape. Like, I can’t make this shit up, fam! This dude R. Kelly is really out here WILIN’, son!

Moving on, I remember DeRogatis’ name because of an article I read in the Village Voice a few years back. In it, writer Jessica Hopper detailed DeRogatis’ findings about the lengths that Kelly would go to prey on young girls. After all of this time, two things are incredibly chilling, man: the fact that he’s still out here victimizing the opposite sex, and the fact that people still don’t seem to care.

At this point, how can anyone defend this man?! I mean, we KNOW he married an underage Aaliyah. We KNOW he raped a minor on video. Good fucking Lord, what will it take for people to finally turn on this dude?! He takes advantage of people who can’t defend themselves and folks are still willing to jam to his music. Where’s the fucking line, son?! This is the same bullshit with Bill Cosby. Art doesn’t make up for rape, son! Not in any sense, man. Enough is fucking enough!

In the end, fuck this fool, fam! Also, fuck anybody that shrugs off his behavior! Indifference is exactly why he’s been able to skate for so long. The time has come for him to be held accountable for his actions. Then again, some idiot is going to read this post and still put on one of his albums. *Sigh* I don’t know what else to say, son. LC out.

P.S. All jokes aside, I really want everyone to read that BuzzFeed article, man. Like, the story is waaaaay creepier than anything I wrote in this post, fam. All in all, I’m fucking disgusted, bruh! Absolutely disgusted. That is all.

Donald Trump vs. Bill Cosby

I won’t lie, son. Topics like the one I’m about to speak on make my head hurt. Listen, fellow Black people, can we leave race out of certain discussions? Look, in certain situations, regardless of this country’s history of racial prejudice, some Black people just don’t need to be defended. Now, this sermon has been placed on my heart because of the comparisons being made between Donald Trump and Bill Cosby. Apparently, more than a few Black people are upset that Cosby is facing charges while Trump is still in the presidential race. My message to those particular people: cut the bullshit, son!

By now, I’m sure everyone is aware of the sexual assault allegations against Trump. Each day, more women are coming out, all saying they were violated by the GOP nominee. In the midst of an increasing firestorm, Trump is denying all of these stories while simultaneously blaming Hillary Clinton for pushing this narrative. With that being said, as the number of accusers continue to rise, I’m seeing Bill Cosby’s name surface in the discussion. This is mainly because Cosby is another prominent figure who’s been accused of heinous crimes against women. However; instead of both men being scolded for their alleged misconduct, people are coming to Cosby’s aid. Apparently, some people don’t like the fact that Cosby’s image has been tarnished while Trump is still roaming free.

To be real, I despise every bit of this argument, son. I mean, what the fuck do people want, man? If I’m understanding this right, Cosby should skate just because Trump hasn’t fallen off of a cliff yet? Are we really out here defending rapists, bro? Look, son, no one can tell me I’m not aware of the racial bias that exists in this country. Hell, I talk about it damn near every day on this blog. However; what I refuse to do is cop a plea for a man who abuses women. With that being said, I could care less if Bill Cosby’s legacy is destroyed. If people paid attention to the actions he’s been accused of since the 1960s, they wouldn’t be defending this loser either. Folks have been saying these things about Cosby waaaaay before Hannibal Buress, man. While everyone with a brain should be aware of White Privilege, I’m still not going to argue in defense of a rapist. As far as I’m concerned, both Cosby and Trump should burn for their offenses. Equally!

In the end, I want everyone out there defending Cosby to ask themselves a question: does the need for racial equality outweigh basic human decency? Should we overlook the appalling actions of a few members of our own community just to support Blackness? I, for one, refuse to let certain things slide just to be in solidarity with my race? Sexual abuse is one of those things. Get Cosby and Trump the fuck out of here, man. Good day.
