Get Ray Lewis The F*ck Outta Here!

Man, I have so many simultaneous thoughts in my head, I don’t even know where to start, son. Look, Ray Lewis needs to shut the fuckity-fuck up, fam! Listen, I’m pretty sure that Colin Kaepernick isn’t looking to him for advice, bruh. In addition, I TRULY don’t like the idea of a Black man telling another Black man to be low key about activism. On the real, that’s just another way of saying “play nice and don’t publicly piss off White people.” All in all, fuck all of that, man!

Now, for anyone who missed it, Lewis took it upon himself to show Kaepernick “the way.” According to Lewis, if Kaepernick wants to find another job in the NFL, he needs to be quieter about social injustice. Apparently, standing up for what’s right pales in comparison to not upsetting the owners. By and by, Kaepernick needs to be a “good boy” if he wants to secure a spot on another team.

Real talk, that seems to be a common theme amongst Kaepernick’s Black detractors. Basically, if he stopped making White people uncomfortable, then they’d let him throw the football around again. I mean, this is the same shit I roasted Michael Vick for. We’re so programmed as a community, that instead of championing Kaepernick for standing up for US, we’d rather tell him to be more presentable to the White majority. *Sigh* As Malcolm X once said, “who taught you to hate yourself?” Clearly, we already know the answer to that, son.

Moving on, outside of the ridiculous message, I also have a problem with the source, son. Keeping it a buck, Lewis is the LAST human being who should be giving ANYONE pointers, man! Lest we forget, his white suit was never found after Jacinth Baker and Richard Lollar were stabbed to death. Lest we forget, he snitched on Reginald Oakley and Joseph Sweeting to get his murder charges dismissed. Shit, Kaepernick is being judged for taking a knee during the fucking National Anthem, fam. All I know is, Lewis isn’t some beacon of purity, bruh.

In the end, I’m tired of Black people worrying more about our image than our rights. Instead of addressing the issues that Kaepernick is highlighting, folks would rather tell him to pipe down and just play football. Ultimately, the joke is on us as we continue to be mistreated and killed by systemic violence. Then again, maybe Lewis empathizes because he’s also gotten away with murder. Shit, just some food for thought, people. LC out.

P.S. The entire “shut the fuck up” mantra of this post also applies to Kordell Stewart. Seriously, no one wants this dude’s opinion, fam. On the real, all I want from “Slash” is Porsha Williams‘ phone number. Hook that up, bruh. That is all.

‘All Eyez On Me’ Was Trash

Disclaimer: Spoilers, spoilers and more spoilers. Listen, don’t say I didn’t warn you, man.

Look, I’m not going to lie, son. I actually feel bad that I’m about to ether a Black movie. I mean, I always try to support my people, especially in an industry that rarely represents us correctly. However; I also feel like I have the right to criticize something I spent my money on. On the real, work is not exempt from judgment just because my people were involved. With that being said, this new All Eyez On Me movie about Tupac Shakur is trash, garbage and basura, son. Listen, I’m the biggest Pac fan in the world and I left the theater disappointed. Now, let me explain myself further.

So, before I begin the drag fest, let me talk about some of the positives of the film. First, the casting is good. Well, in certain places, son. Anyway, Demetrius Shipp Jr., Danai Gurira and Kat Graham are convincing as Pac, Afeni Shakur and Jada Pinkett-Smith, respectively. They all look the part and they deliver their lines with conviction. However; the lines they are forced to utter are fucking terrible, son. All in all, that brings us to our first major problem.

Bruh, who wrote the fucking dialogue for this movie? Man, every single conversation drags because the interactions between the characters are comically bad. On the real, I literally said “what the fuck” while watching a scene where Pac is recording “Brenda’s Got A Baby.” The scene is supposed to convey Pac’s need to improve his circumstances, but just makes him look like an asshole who’s barking on some hapless engineer. The dialogue simply isn’t good enough to properly depict his mental state.

Next, the film goes from 1971, the year of his birth, to 1991 in the first twenty minutes. So, the filmmakers can dedicate two hours to the last five years of his life, but barely flesh out the formative years that made him? Son, I don’t want to simply see a reenactment of his finals days. Pac was all over the damn news during these years, fam. A lot of us already know about the fuck shit he got himself into. On the other hand, delving into his childhood with Afeni and Mutulu Shakur could’ve been eye-opening. Delving into his time in Marin City, California could’ve been informative. Honestly, it would’ve given the audience some context into why Pac behaved the way he did.

Moving on, the movie is also inaccurate. I mean, Jada said it herself. In real life, Pac never read her the letter he wrote for her. He never told her he was going to California. Also, they never had an argument about his tomfoolery at one of his concerts. To make matters worse, Pac is using a cotdamn iPhone in one of the scenes! Good fucking Lord, man! This entire film is half-baked and half-assed. L.T. Hutton and Benny Boom should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves, son.

In the end, I can’t recommend this movie to anyone. I wasted my money on this shit, fam. Keeping it a buck, this travesty took two and a half hours of my life, bruh. Seriously, I had to go play The Don Killuminati to get this shit out of my head. Needless to say, this film isn’t Straight Outta Compton. Ultimately, I guess we can blame that movie for making fools think this bullshit would work. *Sigh* LC out.

Say It With Me: James Jackson Is A Terrorist

Look, let’s skip the formalities, son. Fuck James Jackson, man. This clown is a terrorist, regardless of how anyone tries to spin the story. Now, while it’s good to see him formally being charged with “murder as terrorism,” it still doesn’t bring back the life of Timothy Caughman. In my eyes, if the system is serious about justice, then it needs to make an example of Jackson. His fate needs to showcase the fact that this type of behavior cannot stand. All I know is, the hate that runs through America seems to know no bounds.

Now, before I continue, I’d like to raise two middle fingers to the New York Daily News. Why the fuck did that “newspaper” deem it necessary to comment on Caughman’s arrest record? Bruh, I don’t give a FUCK about how many times that man was arrested! He was the victim of a cotdamn HATE CRIME, son! His killer, Jackson, specifically traveled from Baltimore, Maryland with the intention of killing Black men. Nothing else needs to be said, man.

In his own words, he hated Black men since he was a child. In addition, he wanted to “saveWhite women from dating us. To make matters worse, he originally planned on killing more people. According to that dickhead, he would’ve rather killed a “thug” or a “successful older Black man” in order to get his point across. From there, he stabbed Caughman through the chest with a fucking sword! With all of that being said, who gives a flying fuck about Caughman’s record, man?! Once again, a Black victim is criminalized for no apparent reason. Thanks for nothing, Daily News.

*Sigh* So, as anyone reading this can tell, I’m PISSED, son! The bigotry in this country just never stops, man. All in all, it’s fucking exhausting, bruh. Caughman was simply minding his own business and ended up dead. The worst part is, he was just some pawn in a bitch ass dude’s sick fantasy. On the real, it’s absolutely disheartening, son. I really don’t know how else to put it, man.

Ultimately, I have nothing else to say here. In the end, I just want Jackson to end up on Rikers Island in the general population. Fuck state prison, bruh. Just let the community handle him. LC out.

Can I Live In Cam Newton’s America?

Let me start this post by saying, I’m not sure what America our good friend Cam Newton resides in, but shiiiiiiit, I’d love to live there. A country that’s beyond racism? That sounds phenomenal, son. Where can I sign up for a trip to this magical place? Oh, wait, he’s talking about this actual land we’re currently living in? Well, in that case, I’m thoroughly confused as all hell, man.

Now, recently, Cam did an interview with GQ Magazine. While speaking about a variety of different topics, the subject of race came up and that’s what caused my Rock eyebrow to raise. It’s no secret Cam has received his fair share of bad press, especially after the way his season ended post-Super Bowl. Even during the lead-up to the big game, Cam had to consistently field questions about being a Black quarterback in the NFL. With all of the varying attacks on his ability, temperament or whatever else critics tried to single out, for some reason, Cam doesn’t believe these shots were racially motivated at all. In fact, he stated that we’re “beyond that” as a nation. Wow, that’s news to me, son. Well, since his memory seems to be a little fuzzy, allow me to point out a few past situations and see whether his logic holds up.

Let’s start with the letter written to him by Rosemary Plorin. After a game where Newton’s Carolina Panthers trounced the Tennessee Titans, Plorin expressed her disappointment in Cam’s behavior during the game. In her eyes, he’s a role model who should never engage in any type of “showboating” behavior. In fact, she was so bothered by his actions, she expressed the idea she didn’t even know what to tell her 9-year-old daughter. Man, get the fuck out of here. This woman took her daughter to a game where grown men violently crash themselves into each other and she’s worried about the fact Cam likes to dab? Are you fucking kidding me, son? Last time I checked, Aaron Rodgers does that damn “Discount Double Check” every time he completes a first down and I can’t even count the amount of times I’ve seen footage of Rob Gronkowski acting a fool somewhere. Are these players also getting open letters written to them? If not, tell that woman to get off of her high horse and enjoy the game.

Now, let’s talk about Bill Romanowski. After the Panthers’ Super Bowl loss, detractors called out Cam for not being very forthcoming in his post-game interview. It was obvious from his attitude he didn’t want to answer any questions and his demeanor was the complete opposite of the celebratory character we saw all season. Now, I’ll be the first to admit, even I thought he was acting like a sore loser, but Romanowski took it a step further. In a tweet against Cam, he stated “you will never last in the NFL with that attitude. The world doesn’t revolve around you, boy!” Boy? Boy?! Maybe it’s just me, but I was pretty sure Cam was a 27-year-old grown ass man. No one can tell me there wasn’t even a tinge of racial prejudice behind that statement. Do I have to remind people about the history of White people calling Black people “boy” in this country? Honestly, I’d rather not, son. And besides, Google is everyone’s friend. Just go look it up.

At this point, I’m sure there are readers out there who aren’t sipping the Kool-Aid I’m serving right now. Honestly, that’s fine with me. We’ll just agree to disagree. With that being said, a Black public figure of his magnitude insisting we’re beyond race as a nation is still incredibly damaging. Were we beyond race when the Justice Department released a report stating the Baltimore police department regularly violated the rights of minorities? Were we beyond race when Dylann Roof shot night Black churchgoers in an attempt to start a race war? Were we beyond race when officers pulled Philando Castile over because he had a “wide set nose?” I didn’t think so, son. At this point, if Cam has nothing constructive to say on the subject, he needs to just shut the fuck up.

Ultimately, I guess Cam is doing his best O.J. Simpson impression. However; I’d warn him to be careful with that approach to life. We already saw how the O.J. story drastically veered off course. Good day.
