It Feels So Good To Be Wrong About Amber Guyger

So, I won’t lie, son. On the real, I’m not the type of guy who’s afraid to admit when he’s wrong, man. Shit, if anyone read yesterday’s post, I firmly believed that Amber Guyger was going to get away with murdering Botham Jean. As of right now, I was happily mistaken, fam. All in all, this is one of those moments where it feels good as hell to be wrong, bruh.

Ok, for those who missed it, a Dallas jury convicted Guyger of murder. For once, someone was actually held accountable for killing an innocent Black man. In any case, due to this conviction, Guyger faces a maximum of life in prison. The problem is, the jury could also give her a minimum of five years.

Look, from the beginning, that’s all we’ve ever asked, son. Frankly, we just want our murderers to face justice, man. We just want our killers to deal with the consequences of taking our lives. With that being said, it appears that Guyger will have to face the music, fam. All I know is, this is how the justice system is SUPPOSED to work, bruh.

In the end, I have nothing else to say, son. Ultimately, I just hope that they jury doesn’t give this woman a light sentence. By and by, she should have to do some real fucking time for killing a man in his own apartment. At the end of the day, there’s no way to victim blame here. Jean was in the safety of his own home, minding his own cotdamn business. For someone who “thought” that Jean was the intruder, Guyger was the real one trespassing, man. All I can say is, she deserves ALL of the prison time, fam. So, don’t fuck this up, Texas. That is all. LC out.

Amber Guyger Will Probably Go Free

So, before I even begin this post, let me be transparent, son. Real talk, I’m a 34-year-old Black man who doesn’t have a lot of faith in the justice system. I mean, at this point, I’ve lived long enough to see countless examples of the courts failing people of color. With that being said, it looks like history might repeat itself, man. The way I see it, Amber Guyger will probably skate for the murder of Botham Jean.

Ok, for those with shaky memory, Jean was killed by Guyger on September 6, 2018. Now, as the story goes, Guyger, a former Dallas police officer, shot and killed Jean in his own apartment. According to her, since she lived in the apartment below Jean, she thought he was an intruder. In any case, while Jean ate some vanilla ice cream in his own living room, minding his own fucking business, Guyger murdered him.

Now, I’ve always had a problem with Guyger’s story, fam. I mean, either she’s incredibly stupid or just a cold-blooded killer, bruh. Look, for the sake of argument, let’s say she really didn’t realize this wasn’t her apartment. In that case, she was too fucking dumb to notice several clues, son. First, Jean’s red doormat. Second, the apartment number. Third, the fact that her key didn’t fucking work. Frankly, she could’ve realized at any time that this wasn’t her cotdamn place. Instead, she barged into Jean’s place of residence and ended his life.

With all of that being said, the judge may have given Guyger an out, man. Apparently, the judge ruled that Guyger can use the “castle doctrine” defense. Now, this law essentially states that since a home is a person’s castle, they have a right to defend it. Meaning, since she claims that she thought she was in her own apartment, her team can argue for self-defense. All I know is, I have MASSIVE problems with this, fam!

Look, are folks really telling me that this woman can use a “castle” defense for a place that wasn’t even her fucking castle? Like, she can literally take a man’s life in the comfort of his own home and she might be protected? *Sigh* I’m having a hard time keeping my anger at bay, bruh. All I can say is, police are almost never, ever, EVER held accountable for killing us. Even when they’re CLEARLY in the fucking wrong, son.

In the end, I’m probably being a pessimist, man. Ultimately, I can’t definitively say that Guyger is going to walk. However, based on this country’s track record, I’m not putting my faith in the ruling, fam. By and by, it will probably be another instance of a cop getting away with murder. At the end of the day, people of color aren’t safe anywhere, bruh. Not even in our own fucking home. That is all. LC out.

Shot In His Own Damn Home: The Story Of Botham Shem Jean

Fam, this story makes me so fucking mad! Like, I’m not even sure where to direct my rage, son. I mean, the senseless death of Botham Shem Jean was already bad enough, man. But, now the authorities keep changing the fucking story! Why? To protect one of them own, bruh. Real talk, from the jump I told my wife that they would find a way to get Amber Guyger off of the hook for murder. Now, as it currently stands, I HIGHLY doubt any real justice will be served, people.

Ok, for those who have been living under a rock, Botham Jean was shot in his own damn home. Originally, it was said that Guyger, a Dallas police officer, was coming home after a 14-hour shift. Apparently, she lives on the third floor of this apartment building, but got off on the fourth floor. Next, she tried to use her key on Jean’s door, but of course, it didn’t work. After struggling with the lock, Jean opened the door. From there, she assumed he was an intruder and shot him in the chest. Finally, Jean was pronounced dead after he was taken to the hospital.

Fast forward to today, the “official” story of Jean’s murder is now completely different, son. Now, according to Guyger and her legal team, Jean’s door was slightly “ajar.” Next, when she opened the door, she saw a silhouette in the background. From there, she claims that she gave Jean “verbal commands,” but he ignored them. After that, she shot at Jean two times, hitting him once in the chest.

Listen, there are A TON of things wrong with her story, man. First, am I really supposed to believe that Jean was in his apartment with the door unlocked? Fam, NOBODY does that! Second, what the fuck does she mean “verbal commands?” That was his motherfucking apartment, bruh! This woman trespassed on HIS property and tried to give HIM commands?! For God‘s sake, the fucking gall of this woman, son! On the real, she’s legit trying to victim shame a dude who SHE violated! It’s fucking unnerving, people!

Now, to add insult to injury, two witnesses who live in the building have disputed Guyger’s story. According to them, before the murder occurred, they could hear her banging on the door saying “let me in.” Keeping it a buck, that sounds a lot more logical, son. It makes way more sense that she couldn’t get in the apartment than the theory that Jean left the door unlocked. *Sigh* I’m just fucking tired of police trying to find ways to justify why their officers kill people. It’s fucking disgusting, man!

In the end, fuck Guyger and fuck the Dallas police department! Ultimately, they waited like two days to come up with some bullshit story, fam. By and by, Jean lost his life over nothing. Absolutely nothing, bruh! At the end of the day, Black people aren’t even safe at home, son. Fuck, man! Fuck! LC out.
