Being a dark-skinned brotha, it hurts me to write this post. I’m ashamed to say we have a couple of traitors hurting the brand. With that being said, I consider this post a reprimand for both Deion Sanders and Brian McKnight. In one 24-hour period, both men made themselves look ridiculous and knocked #TeamDarkSkin down a few pegs. Now in case you missed it, let’s run through the tomfoolery.
First, there’s Mr. Sanders. If you haven’t been following the soap opera that’s become his life, he’s currently in the middle of divorcing his wife, Pilar Sanders. Both parties have been slandering each other in the press, with all kinds of infidelity allegations being thrown around. Well apparently, everything came to a head yesterday, when Deion claimed Pilar and a friend assaulted him in his house. He took to Twitter to rant about the incident, claiming it happened in front of his sons and how he’s filing charges. To make matters worse, there’s actually a mugshot of Pilar floating around. Now I’m no advocate for domestic violence, but really Deion? He let his soon-to-be ex-wife jump him in his own home? What happened to all of that world-class speed? He can dodge special teams but can’t dodge his woman? What kind of fuckery is going on around here? I hope he knows, I’m personally revoking his “Man Card” and “Dark Skin Card.” He’s done in these streets son. Arrivederci.
Second, there’s Mr. McKnight. Truthfully, there’s really nothing to say about that man. Just watch the video below and you’ll understand. As a disclaimer, the man who sang “Anytime” is gone. All we’re left with is the clown below. Enjoy.
