So it’s legitimately unhealthy how excited I am for this movie. There isn’t any event, natural disaster or terrorist attack that can stop me from watching this tomorrow. Nothing else needs to be said. Batman is my favorite hero, Bane is my favorite Batman villain and Christopher Nolan does no wrong. I expect this film to be nothing short of mind-blowing, mind-altering, and mind-something-else-awesome. So, in preparation for the pending awesomeness, here’s a 13-minute preview of the movie, including interviews with the cast and crew. Nobody better call me tomorrow. I’m ignoring all calls, texts, e-mails, etc. Good day to all.

After coming across the above picture of Bane and then finding this movie poster of Batman and Catwoman, I briefly forgot that I was no longer 10-years-old. To be clear, I was an unapologetic nerd growing up who was obsessed with all things comic book related. I used to read Spider-Man comics in the middle of class and have Presidential debates on why Batman would ‘Bruce LeeSuperman. To take things a step further, I even used to write and illustrate my own stories with my own characters. Needless to say, thank the Lord I discovered Rap music because… well I’m pretty sure you can figure out why the former didn’t work out.

In any case, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I’m unhealthily amped to see this movie. Ever since Christopher Nolan directed 2005′s Batman Begins, he has done no wrong in my eyes. While douchebags like Val Kilmer and George Clooney tried their hardest to turn Batman into just a cornball in tights, Nolan represented the character in his proper light: Jack Bauer mixed with Chuck Norris. But all jokes aside, any fool who thought it was a good idea to put Jim Carrey and Arnold Schwarzenegger in a Batman movie is probably a communist.

While I know a bunch of ’80′s babies’ hold Tim Burton‘s rendition of Batman near and dear to their hearts, I would argue that The Dark Knight is light-years ahead of both Batman and Batman Returns. No, I’ll take it a step further and say that The Dark Knight is one of the ‘Top 10′ movies of all time. With all the classic movies released in human history, why would I make such a bold statement? Simply because no action movie in the history of ever has had such good acting. Jack Nicholson is a god amongst actors and Heath Ledger‘s version of The Joker made Jack look like an amateur. Even though Ledger’s death heightened the attention surrounding his performance, he deserved that Oscar regardless.

All I know is, when the new movie is released on July 20, 2012, I’ll probably show up to the movie theater with a cape on. I dare any one of you to say something, I’ll assault you.
