Eminem once said “a lot of truth is said in jest,” and he was absolutely correct. Gay marriage has always been a hot topic in America and in light of what happened in North Carolina yesterday, I think we all need a little perspective. Now in case you missed it, the people of NC voted for Amendment 1, which in effect bans homosexuals from getting married in the state. This makes them the 30th state in our country to ban such unions. Now I’ve always been puzzled by these types of legislation because I never understood why people want to monitor other people getting married. Why the hell does it matter to you what strangers do with their lives? In any case, when things don’t make sense, I find ways to laugh at it. So instead of going on some nonlinear angry rant, I’d rather watch some comedians make jokes about it. Would you be my neighbor?
